Baseball is experiencing its best moment in Mexico, with explosive growth since
2020.
The league has seen a 700% increase in sponsors, a 600% rise in television
rights, and a 1,000% boost in national coverage since 2021. Additionally, the a
verage age of fans has significantly decreased, indicating a positive shift in t
he audience profile.
With new sponsorship opportunities and promising marketing plans, Mexican baseba
ll is well-positioned to continue its ascent and attract even more investment an
d followers.

More and more companies want to connect with Mexican baseball, as attendance num
bers and viewership for LMB broadcasts have been on the rise. Additionally, the
league's geographical reach is a significant draw, offering baseball in 20 locat
ions from Tijuana to Mérida, including major cities like Mexico City, Monterrey
, and Guadalajara.

Interest in broadcasting LMB games is increasing; in September 2023, an agreemen
t was reached with ESPN for the transmission of the next five seasons (2024, 202
5, 2026, 2027, and 2028) on ESPN, Star+, and its linear channels.
去年和ESPN簽下五年轉播合約
The agreement includes 204 LMB games per season, covering the regular season, th
e opening game, the Home Run Derby, the All-Star Game, postseason series, and th
e Serie del Rey, along with other league products such as the 2023 and 2024 edit
ions of the Baseball Champions League (BCL) and the Mexican Softball League (LMS
).

At the end of November 2023, the agreement with Fox Sports was renewed to contin
ue broadcasting; this deal includes six games weekly, which can be aired across

, one series for each playoff stage, the Serie del Rey, the All-Star Game, and t
he Home Run Derby will be included, along with coverage on the mobile app. Fox S
ports has also incorporated softball into its programming.

The LMB (Mexican Baseball League) has concluded its season. Although attendance
numbers were on pace to reach an all-time high, the early resolution of the play
offs and fewer games resulted in the final count falling just short of last year
’s, finishing as the second-highest in history. We can look forward to even gre
ater achievements next year.
